Reflection 1# - First newspaper


        There are lots of differences between how they used to write newspapers and what they wrote about compared to today. Also they're are lots of different ways that news articles and such can be shared around, for example online through Facebook and social media. Along with being able to watch the news on television! I also find that they are composed a lot differently, they're are pictures in the newspaper. One thing that I noticed right away was the way that they had spelled public, they spelled it with a "k", "publick". I thought that was a very noticeable difference  was the topics that they would be writing about. Most of our news today is about Trump or things involving the states, while I'm sure the newspaper back then didn't discuses the same things.

        Personally I don't think that the government should have that power, because we do have freedom of speech, so why should the government control what is put in the newspapers. Also if they control what goes in the newspapers, then a lot of propaganda would probably go on.

        The press has the right to cover news, and have freedom to say what they want. As long as they follow the main laws of it. Everyone has freedom of speech so I think that this is very reasonable.

         Honestly, I was a little surprised. But I wasn't completely shocked. I like the fact that it was so close to where we live.

What Is News Worthy?

Article #1:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              The first article I chose to write about is "Doctor-assisted suicide is now responsible for one percent of all deaths in Canada" . This is a very controversial issue, a lot of people agree with doctors being able to put patients out of their misery. On the other hand quite a few people do not think that it should be aloud and they think it is murder. It is all really just based on peoples opinions.
